Yelp Guaranteed helps protect them. For instance, if there are issues with a project, they can receive coverage up to a lifetime maximum of $2,500.
How Your Business Can Participate in Yelp Guaranteed
You must pay to become a Yelp Pro. If eligible to participate, your business is automatically notified and enrolled (so long as you enable “Request a Quote” and use Yelp Ads). You can opt out of the program at any time.

How Do Customers Obtain Coverage?
Your customers can obtain coverage if they hire you through one of three contact methods. These include Yelp’s “Request a Quote”, “Request a Consultation”, or “Request a Virtual Consultation” links on your business information page. It’s strongly advised to try and resolve any disputes with customers. Otherwise, they can submit a refund request within 30 days of their last payment for the project.
Yelp then evaluates the request. If it’s approved, the customer may be reimbursed up to $2,500 or a lesser amount equal to what they paid you.
How Are Claims Filed with Yelp Guaranteed?
If a customer can’t resolve the matter with a Yelp Pro, they can use the Guaranteed Refund Request Form to submit a written claim online. The form must be completed and submitted with supporting documentation that includes the business name, proof of payment, a price quote for the project, details on the work performed, evidence of loss or damage, and receipts for repair or replacement costs.
As a Yelp Pro, you’ll be required to submit similar details to determine whether the customer is entitled to a refund.
Claimants can receive coverage for:
- Dissatisfaction with the work performed
- Property loss or damage sustained within the scope of the project
- A professional that doesn’t show up for a pre-paid job
- Charges that exceed a written, binding quote
- Losses Yelp sees as foreseeable at the time the project was agreed upon
